Corrections Policy
Because modern e-commerce APIs, Liquid filter tags, and CRM webhook configurations evolve rapidly, we maintain a transparent, structured process for investigating and resolving errors.
1. Our Commitment to Accuracy
Build With Goofy strives to ensure that every code snippet, step-by-step tutorial, and analytical breakdown is accurate when published. When an error is identified—whether related to a syntax glitch, a deprecated platform API, or an unsupported assumption—we take immediate responsibility to correct it.
2. How to Report a Technical Correction
We welcome corrections, bug reports, and suggestions from readers, developers, and platform engineers. To report an error:
Email: buildwithgoofy@gmail.com
Subject: Technical Correction: [Article Title or URL]
Include: (1) The specific URL and section, (2) The inaccurate code or instruction, (3) Expected behavior or documentation link supporting the correction.
3. Investigation & Resolution Process
- Triage & Reproduction: Within 48 hours of receiving a notification, Bilal Shakeel reviews the reported issue in a test store or development environment.
- Direct Patching: If an error is verified, the article is updated directly in code with the validated solution.
- Date & Transparency Management: Minor typographical or formatting updates do not alter the published date. For substantial technical revisions (e.g. updating an API endpoint or refactoring a Liquid schema), we update the
updatedDatefield in the article header and schema metadata.
4. Retirement & Consolidation Policy
When older tutorials or articles become fully obsolete due to platform deprecations (such as older Shopify vintage themes or deprecated Graph API versions), we retire them responsibly:
- We merge valuable insights into a modern, comprehensive guide.
- We place a permanent HTTP 301 redirect from the retired URL to the updated canonical guide.
- We never redirect broken or retired content indiscriminately to our homepage.
